A selection to reflect on.
Today has been a day of sunshine and showers. Last night the sunset was amazing and I could not resist taking a few photographs. So have added a page to the blog with just a taster on here.
This year, finally, we have arranged to go to the Chelsea Flower Show. Have often wished to go, but either did not make arrangements in time or else money was scarce. It’s still scarce, specially since I retired but we are running out of years to do all the things we said we would do. So to make the most of our visit, I have just booked seats at The Globe. Another place I have always wanted to go to. We had a choice between ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and ‘All’s Well That Ends Well’ and have decided on the former. I have seen it before but I’m sure it will be quite a different experience at The Globe. All I have to do now is book the train tickets – just waiting for the cheap train fares to appear.
I just thought I should make some contribution to Valentine’s Day but I’ll let Robert Burns do it instead:
O my Luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June: O my Luve's like the melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune. As fair art thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry. Till a' the seas gang dry , my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o' life shall run. And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve ! And fare-thee-weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' 'twere ten thousand mile!
